21 Jun 09 The Many Faces of Liberalism

The recent incident of David Letterman attempting to disgrace Govenor Palin’s and her 14 year old daughter on national TV under the guise of a joke, reminds me of the Biblical story of Jesus’ sermon on the mount. In that sermon he said:

“Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast The First Stone” – John 8:7. The actual words spoken by the Messiah in His sermon on the Mount (The Mount of Olives) were “Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” These words pertaining to an incident where a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery was brought before Jesus by the Pharisees for judgement. It is one of the most well known lessons in the Bible. The scribes, (the lawyers of the time)

The Pharisees were one of the three major religious societies of Judaism at the time of the New Testament (the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the Essenes), the Pharisees were often the most vocal and influential.

They could have acted on their own, but they chose to bring her to the Messiah to test His credibility and fairness. Simply put, Jesus did not take the bait as He knew He was the only one present who was without sin, and the only one who could cast that first stone. Stoning was the punishment for adultery during the time of the First Testament. Jesus did not condone the actions of the woman, but condemned the actions of the hypocrites who were not without sin and felt qualified to judge the actions of others, but felt they themselves were above judgment.

Sound familiar, it seems David Letterman, a man who lived in sin, unmarried – and father of a child born to an unwed mother, has cast judgment on a an unwed mother of 17 at the time she conceived. Let me be clear, I do not condone the indiscretions of a 17 year old child who’s family has paid dearly for what she has done, but Ms. Palin was not an adult at the time and made a mistake, the same mistake as hundreds or thousands of 17 year olds in an environment fueled by the loose morals of the liberal Hollywood movie makers and liberal movements to take God out of our public life.

The liberal democrats have excepted the immoral actions of Bill Clinton in the Monica Lewinski scandal which took place in the Oval Office. They blew off the admission of the adulterous activities of Jessie Jackson and John Edwards while the latter was seeking public office, and on and on.

The big difference between Letterman, Clinton, Jackson, Edwards, etc. are that they are all well over the legal age of 18, that magic number that make one responsible for their decisions. Ms. Palin was 17 and not of legal age, does this make the father of her son guilty of statutory rape? Or does it make the mistresses of the afore mentioned whores? I don’t know that I don’t feel qualified to judge them. Do you?

However, I do know that they too are not qualified to cast the first stone, and this is especially true of David Letterman, who’s mistress had and raised his son until Mr. Letterman recently decided to marry her.

Obviously, I strongly feel that Mr. Letterman not only owes Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter a sincere apology, But if his so called joke was aimed at Sarah Palin’s older daughter as he says, then he owes her a sincere apology as well. Mr. Letterman was clearly out of line and should be reprimanded for his so called humor.

Whether the joke was aimed at Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter or not, that 14 year old has to go to school to face her peers, and children of that age group can be extremely cruel.

What this ongoing treatment to discredit Governor Palin and her family by the left wing media and liberal democrats tells me, they are literally scared out of their boots over her ability to mesmerize the audience when she speaks. She speaks as one of them and doesn’t come across as a politician. She is sincere, very bright, and her record as Governor of Alaska speaks for itself.

Then we have the Pelosi factor

Her hatred for George W. Bush and the conservative base republican party has driven her to place our military personnel around the world in jeopardy by her insistence to show and release classified information to the public. The pictures and information she is pushing to release will place my son and all the sons and daughters in the military as well as civilian personnel working overseas in grave danger.

Ms. Pelosi has not ever been in the military, nor does she have a son or daughter in the military, so she is either blind to the dangers of such an action, or she is incredibly stupid. Either way, if the release of these photos were to become a reality, no American would be safe abroad including her. The terrorists would like nothing more that to show more burned, beheaded corpses hanging from a bridge.

I hereby make this plea to her, for the sake of my son, and the many military personnel and American civilians working abroad – to let go of her hate and think about what’s best for all Americans worldwide.

AND YET ANOTHER FACE OF LIBERALISM

When I started this blog, I had every intent to be non-biased and open to comments from all political views – however as it stands I admit I have been extremely partial to my conservative and Libertarian side. My conservative side tells me I need to be fiscally responsible and am obligated to not saddle my children and grand-children with the financial burdens of my era. My Libertarian side tells me I am obligated to obey the laws of my Country as set forth in the Constitution of the United States and Declaration of Independence.

What I see today, is the Democrat party I knew and once vigorously supported has turned its back on fiscal responsibility and the laws set forth in our Constitution. The people we elect and expect to follow and support the Constitution of the United States of America and take an oath to do so are not loyal to their oath of office. The President we all want so much to succeed has appointed a number of tax evaders to positions of trust within his cabinet. Members of Congress who have been in office for years and write the tax laws we are expected to understand have cheated on their taxes, defending their actions by proclaiming an error, only after they are caught, ie: Charlie Rangel, (D,NY) and Tom Dashle, (D,SD)

I don’t believe the very liberal face of the Democrat Party we see today is the true face of the democrat party. The Democrats I know, the Democrats I grew up with are God fearing law abiding people with integrity and a fierce love of Country. They would not hesitate to fight and die for their Country. I had three uncles, all democrats who couldn’t enlist fast enough to answer the call to arms to defend their Country during that fateful day December 6^th, 1941. Franklin Delano Roosevelt announced Japan has attacked Pearl Harbor and declared war on the United States. WWII had started.

Roosevelt held the military in high esteem as did his successor Harry S. Truman. Both of these great accomplished gentlemen were the backbone of the Democratic Party of their day and are probably spinning in their graves over what Speaker Nancy Pelosi and today’s Democratic leadership is doing. I believe they would have considered it shameful, as the many decent law abiding God fearing Democrats that make up the vast majority of the Democratic Party do.

It is becoming overwhelmingly apparent this is a case of the “tail wagging the dog”. It is being influenced by the Michael Moore’s and the Hollywood set. The far left radical liberal base leaning toward Socialism. This is not the Democratic Party I knew.

This simple test will tell what political party you truly are, or most likely to lean towards. Answer the following questions to see where you stand.

Have you ever reviewed the content of “the Declaration of Independence”, and do you believe in its philosophy? Click here to read the “Declaration of Independence “

Do you believe in God?
Do you believe the words “In God We Trust” should remain on United States Currency?
Do you believe in equality for all, regardless of Color, Creed, or Nationality?
Do you feel we should pass the cost of bailing out Wall Street and Stock held Corporations who are paying their top executives multimillion dollar annual salaries onto our children and their children?
Do you believe in open borders allowing illegal immigrants to enter at will? (Of the many people I asked this question of – not one believes in open borders, but agree to legal immigration through due process.)
Do you feel the Federal Government should micro manage every aspect of our life?
Do you feel we have the right to abort a fully formed fetus, termination the life of a baby about to be borne when the health of the mother is not in question, or the child is otherwise healthy?
Do you believe the Justices of the Supreme Court have a right to make law from the bench based on their personal beliefs?
Do you believe the Justices of the United States Supreme Court should uphold the articles of the Constitution of the United States, as they swore to uphold,

If you answered “yes” to questions 1 & 2, & 10 and believe in them - then it simply means you are a citizen concerned in the laws of the land and the rights of all the people of this Great land of ours.

If you answered “yes” or “no” to 3, 4, & 5, you are able to do so because of what’s written in Constitution, and Declaration of Independence.

If you answered “yes” to questions 6, 7, 8, 9. & 10, you are most likely a Liberal or Socialist, and feel the Constitution and Declaration of Independence that gives you the ability to state your position is outdated and should be re-written to protect your rights, but inhibit the rights of all others.

If you are wondering where I stand, I strongly support the “Constitution” and “Declaration of Independence”, and feel they are the reason why America is the Greatest Nation in the world. I have a strong believe in God and am not afraid to say so. I am able to do so, and write this, because of those two Great documents.

You only need to follow what is happening in Iran and the middle east to see that what I say is true.
