Once again the mainstream media has failed to report a major event in the lives of the American citizen, a move that not only effects the lives of the John Q Public, but violates the 2nd amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
I first read about this last year. Not in the news, but in a blog written in National Gun Rights Blog posted on February 2, 2010 of last year. I believe in order for it to take effect it would have to be accepted and passed by Congress. Basically it is an attempt to circumvent the Constitution by going through the back door. If succesful, it would abolish the 2nd Amendment as we know it and allow the United Nations to essentially write laws to control our basic rights through a treaty system. This treaty which would take effect in 2012 would allow the United Nations to confiscate the guns of the American citizen’s by taking away our right to own and bear arms.
John Bolton, former ambassador to the United Nations during the Bush administration cautioned gun owners of the U.N.’s Trade Treaty saying the U.N. is attempting to pass it as just a treaty about international arms trade between Nations. But, be forewarned, of the truth of the matter is the underlying reality of it, it is to control domestic firearms.
Well maybe President Obama and Secretary Clinton are right after all. It seems we do need gun control laws, but not for John Q. Public – but rather for Uncle Sam. The truth recently broke on “Operation Fast & Furious” as reported on CBS News. The existance of the project is denied by those empowered, but the truth prevails once again and it seems too be too much of an embarrassment for the powers to be.
You see, one of our dedicated ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) officers had to die, shot down by one of the guns from a shipment the ATF officers were ordered to look the other way while the shipment went over the border. And when the officers warned that sooner or later someone would hurt, they were told to shut their mouth, or they would be looking to serve lunch to the prisoner at Maricopa County jail. A shooting that could have been avoided if not for the stupidity of this administration. Were it not for a dedicated ATF Agent, Officer John Dodson who came forth before more guns were allowed to pass over the border, and more front line agents killed, felt he had to get the story out regardless if it cost him hi job. He felt he had to do something to stop this insanity, (and will probably be fired for it). The public would probably still be in the dark if it were not for his courage to report it to CBS. He says the project was put in operation with the full knowledge of the Justice Department. And although they admit it was going on, they deny having any knowledge of it and did not condone it. Could you imagine the ATF Agents assigned to watch the boarder, just sit back and watch the flow of thousands of automatic weapons flow over the border knowing they or their fellow officers may have to face the fire from those weapons?
